PORT Adelaide midfielder Hamish Hartlett says it would be unbelievable to play the Crows in an elimination final but says the Power expects to finish top four this season.
SA footy fans have started dreaming of the first finals Showdown at Adelaide Oval now that our two teams sit in fifth and eighth position.
Hartlett couldn’t help but smile when asked about the prospect on Monday.
But the 23-year-old said his club had higher ambitions, aiming to complete a clean sweep of its remaining five matches.

They asked Jordan Lewis & Rob Murphy on AFL 360 who the best player in the comp is & Lewis said that Chad Wingard is his favourite opposition player.

I'd hate to see how he treats the players he doesn't like

Obviously rated him high enough to feel the need to rough him up, either way it was surprising to hear out of all the players in the league Jordan would probably pick Chad to play alongside if he could.

I always thought he was just a good enforcer mid who could play the odd big game but he's having a pretty good year, less of that sniping probably helps his case as well.

PORT Adelaide key forward Jay Schulz has noticed a stark change in energy levels as the Power regroups after its bye in the season.
The players are confident they are coming out of a flat spot after ending a losing streak and having time to recover from the fatigue with a weekend away from the game.
Port now faces Collingwood at the MCG, set for the final five matches of the season in which it will seek to cement a spot in the top four. “Our breaks over our previous history have been really good for us,’’ Schulz said.

PORT Adelaide has identified Sunday’s match against Collingwood at the MCG as the ideal kick-start for the final phase of the home-and-away season as the Power seek a coveted top-four spot.
The Magpies and the predicted atmosphere at the home of football tick all the boxes, and Port continues to rate Collingwood highly despite their fall out of the top eight.
“I think any time you play Collingwood is a great time to play Collingwood,’’ Schulz said. “They’re a bloody good side and they’ve been a good side for a long time.

I really loathe the term "Home of Football".

PORT Adelaide star Robbie Gray insists the Power are far from a spent force as they steel themselves to end Collingwood’s season for the second year in a row.
The Power dumped the Magpies out of the finals last September and on Sunday will return to the MCG for the first time in 2014 knowing they can kill the Pies’ finals hopes.
“We played them in the final last year which was a massive game, but we don’t talk about a rivalry too much. It’s a massive game for both clubs and we’ll do our homework on them and we need to get back to doing the things we were doing earlier in the year.”

Wasn't sure where to put this but, whilst channel surfing last night I happened upon the Footy Show. They mentioned about being in Adelaide next week and arriving a day early because they were going to be at Port Adelaide with tickets being available through Mouse Productions.

Does anyone know about this? I can't find a link for Mouse Productions.

Not a huge fan of the footy show but if this is at the Port Club, and we can make a buck out of it, then I am in.

BULLISH ballgetter Andrew More on Sunday will get his third chance to become part of Port Adelaide’s midfield rotations — and carry the hope the third time is indeed lucky.
Moore is among the three changes to the Power line-up that resumes from its second in-season break — against ninth-ranked Collingwood at the MCG — with key defender Alipate Carlile and goalsneak Angus Monfries recovered from hamstring injuries. Moore’s promising summer was derailed by a shoulder injury in the pre-season closer against St Kilda at Alberton Oval.

No $10 million man, no Buddy worries. Lance Franklin’s load was spread wide as flag favourites Sydney vindicated John Longmire’s gamble to scratch his marquee man - barely - as the ladder-leading Swans edged past the Bombers by 22 points at the SCG on Friday night.

Seems the Swans had some "extra" help last night. Tiger Balm is what most teams use, not the Swannies.
