Damian Barrett has reported that the club has gone to his management and they will extend his contract until then. Whether you like Barrett or not, he's not going to run with that on national TV without it being right, so good news!!!

Very good news. Smart player management though. This is just long enough to say "I'm committed to the WB for the foreseeable future." Hopefully for his whole career of course.

By 2017 he could be one of the best u23 players in the comp and his asking price would be much more than he can ask for now (impressive though he's been). Unlike some 26-28yos he has no need for a longer contract while his stocks are only likely to rise.

Call that idiot out. Libba and Macrae are both signed until the end of 2016 IIRC.
