No smart ass. I barely drink at all, could count on one hand how many times Ive been drunk, thank you.
:cool::D
Lmfao- who the hell wear high heels indoors?!?!?! Indoors is for socks and/or slippers. Then you put your dumb shoes on before you go out.
A girl obviously, duh. :oops:

Greece needs to be cheap to attract tourist before we became broke food there was very expensive.
Hmm it's unfortunate that really bad tax regulation almost caved in the country. They were that close from being booted from the EU, no idea why. Their currency isn't worth s**t, even if it was floated again, and it would be a travesty and cause almost irreparable damage to their tourism industry, once and for all killing the country.

Chunkychicken you mentioned that you had trouble getting directions from the Italians, can I ask what age group you were asking for help? I've read that if you target university and late high school aged people they are more likely to be able to help in English as they learn a little bit in schoool, middle aged may have forgetten any English they would have learned.

From what I could figure, anyone in their 20's to 40's. The younger generation speak English some, but it isn't like in Greece where just about everyone speaks English well enough to converse and almost everyone under 35 speaks it fluently. For the most part, the words are literally everywhere, and you an say 'tram' and make a box or rectangle shape with your fingers in the air and they understand, or say 'biglietti tram' and they understand. Asking 'parla inglese' usually works a treat if you aren't sure. I've been in Italy nearly a week and I don't speak it very well but I've grown in confidence enough to order and ask stuff in Italian and if I don't understand, or it looks like I don't understand they'll repeat in English.

Venice is nice but its not nearly as impressive as Roma or Firenze. I think a single guy travelling by himself probably wouldn't find it all that fun, but the girls love Venice, its apparently romantic. I'm just counting down the hours until I go to France.

Costs in Venice are really high. Whatever you do, do not buy the Venice Pass, its a massive waste of money. Half the museums are either free entry or privately run and your pass won't get you access, same for the bell tower near the massive piazza. Its only good for churches and once you've seen one of the main ones the rest kind of suck in comparison.

There's a s**t load of tourists here as well just about as many in Roma. Personally I liked Firenze much more, but its something different and I'm glad I've done it :)

France is ******* expensive, seriously, it's like I'm a tourist in Melbourne. I thought I was getting ripped in Italy, but when I think about it I was dropping a fair bit of coin on tourist & sightseeing buses and the like.

I can't wait to visit Greece again next year, it's dirt cheap!!!

Attractiveness per country so far

Greece
Lots of very attractive women, lots of guys who aren't very attractive, a lot of the girls are beautiful and tanned and quite fit looking. Reasonably easy to get along with if you can manage to spit out a few Greek words, but I think a lot are shy.

Italy
Lots of attractive girls, but a very different look. It's an Italian look, not the dolled up mutton look that you get in Australia, but a proper genuine European look. I met some absolutely stunning girls and they flirt very easy, so they're great to get along with.

France
Lots of attractive girls, some very hot girls, very different to Greece because many aren't tanned and there's a bit of variation between the french girls from mixing ethnicity over a long period of time. Not so easy to get along with.
