Demetriou blasts Richmond Tigers handling of Jake King

Lets just say that Richmond player Billy Blogs continually uses racist terms towards Bachar Houli at training even after being told not to by the club, what action should the club take and what law (if any) has Billy committed?
Action would be taken under the AFL's anti discrimination policy .
The AFL has no policy or rule covering who a player does or doesn't hang out with . Because they can't, Vlad knows it's and is just trying the push his fat arse around and try and force a club to do something he wants . Yet he knows full well it can't be done, in other words trying to throw a club under a bus for his own ego .
If he thought he could do something about it there would be a rule or policy in place .
This whole scenario is a mute point , no one would accept being given the arse due to who they associate with away from their place of employment and nor should they .
Kosh tried to put himself on a pedestal and has been made look like a goose .
All that is left now is for a s**t fight to go down at port and Kosh to be taken to task for his actions ,by the player concerned, or the media due to his lack action.

lol immature from that guy

To be honest I hate "Political Correctness" in relation to words. He clearly wasnt meaning homosexual when he said fggt, certainly wasnt being homophobic, if people are going to get offended then they are the ones with the problem. Australians swear...big deal...we all use fuq etc not in any relation at all to sex, there are plenty of other examples but the point is, words evolve and assume different meaning. The whole English language evolves so it's dumb (another example) to get funny about it.

How about just let homosexuals marry, Jesus swung both ways so he'd be up for it, stop people being dicks (another example) to anyone for their sexual preferences and stop worrying about words. Just sillies. I've heard people say "homosexual" with far more venom and hate than people affectionately using fggt so it's just society going mad....anyway....

A bit off topic haha My point was, I wonder if Richmond employees will be putting in their 2 cents on the issue....I reckon we wont. Kochie...tossa (yet another example) lol

So ive been offensive to people who cant talk, religious people, silly people, people who masturbate, penises, insane people and sex....inb4 life ban.

what does this have to do with kingy? i'm confused!

At the start of the season when Port were flying and Jake King had a couple of not so private catch-ups with Toby Mitchell, Kochie exclaimed something along the lines of, "We would have dealt with it more firmly, stuff like that doesn't happen at Port Adelaide"...which we all thought strange, an opposition teams Pres talking about discipline amongst our club. Now that a guy associated with their club has got into a bit of strife...the question is, will any of our employees remark about their disciplinary actions....I think no.

Using the word gay or ****** as an insult is unacceptable as it implies that there is something wrong with being gay.

You could say that about any insult.

* = offensive to mentally disabled
w***er = implies masterbating is bad
Stupid = offensive to less intelligent
Dumb = offensive to those that can't speak

The first one you mentioned is offensive, and organizations have been working hard to remove that from common speak. Several media people have also been reprimanded for using it

"We would get rid of him, absolutely, as simple as that," Koch said.

"Our leadership group would tear him to shreds and say, 'You either stop doing this or you're not part of our group anymore'."
PORT Adelaide would sack Jake King on the spot for continuing to socialise with former Bandidos boss Toby Mitchell if the Tigers forward was a Power player, Port chairman David Koch says.
"And I think Jake King should seriously consider who he associates with and not put at risk the reputation of his club or put himself in a vulnerable position."

Re todays article
"We will work with the club to ensure this individual understands the harm caused by these types of comments and why they are totally unacceptable."
The AFL has extended assistant to Port Adelaide in counselling Evangelou.

White Marquee Event is reportedly staying on as a sponsor, the Power have also condemned the comments.

Port Adelaide should seriously consider who they associate with and not put at risk the reputation of the club

What say you, Kochie?

I understand that for some people they would use it in that context, but people have used "Homosexual" in a manner in which is far nastier than the use of "gay" as a throwaway line so really it's just the context that's important IMO. As mentioned, using fuq, biitch, dumb, etc etc actually have absolutely no association with the original meaning of the word usually... It's just silly to get wound up by it IMO.

Anyway, a different topic for a different time/forum I guess.

The difference between calling someone a W***er to a F***** or R*****ed is that I don't know any person who is offended or embarrassed or harrassed for Masturbating.
Would it have been acceptable to call the 19th men the 19th N*****?

He's using it as an Insult by implying that there is something wrong with them because they are F****s. He wanted to use a word more insulting than 'men' to describe the Adelaide supporters. That's the context he used.

The word is offensive. Just because people use the word and don't mean it in that way, doesn't change the meaning of the word.
