You would think that all is left is a Australia marquee?

One more visa spot available (besides Koren). Hopefully it is put to good use.

Isn't the whole point of marquee players to get extra people through the gates? I'm not quite sure he fits the bill...

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't expecting a much bigger name, but to be fair, he sounds like he'll be absolute quality. We've got Duff and Villa who will attract a few curious people to have a look. If the team is winning games and up near the top of the table by the time Villa departs, I think the vast majority of them will stay. We're rapidly closing in on Heart's membership total from last year already.

3-1 loss against Sydney fc.

1-1 at full time with a goal to nick Kalmar to equalise. Ended up conceding two penalties in extra time that were both converted.

Pretty annoyed to lose considering we were really trying to win this tournament.

I honestly don't know if we will improve much this year.

We are two months out from the season proper with all these changes. I'd rather get the team right come week 1 then worry about a cash grab cup.

There's not even that much cash involved, its to promote the game more than anything else.

In the two matches I've seen Mooy has been about 2 full levels above everybody else on the pitch. Hopefully that changes but I'd put money on him being the MVP for the season.

i thought the a-league logos of the original batch look cartoonish
