Feel sorry for Waylen, but understand why they let him go.

As far as preparing to become an AFL footballer (which he probably won't become) he's probably better off away from the show.

The bloke is from Billiluna, he was never going to succeed at paddle boarding or beach wrestling etc. nor do any of the challenges have anything to do with footy. Disappointing that he gave up though, Padraig the paddy clearly struggled with the paddle boarding but stuck it out. Waylen was obviously too far outside his comfort zone which pushed him further into his shell rather than drew him out.

Mark the seppo was just a dick. With his physical attributes would probably be better suited to rugby union. Made Shane Mumford look like Cyril Rioli.

On an unrelated note, how many times did Waylen have to tell us how far he lived away from the closest ocean?
They did seem to spend a lot of time in the water for a show that is meant to be about footy.

But yeah. They repeat stuff a lot.

Showed 25 minutes of blokes wrestling on a beach and paddling.

Showed 3 minutes of actual footy training with VFL level team, the whole POINT of the show.

Missing the mark.
Reminds me of the first series of The Ultimate Fighter... the ufc reality show. First series had guys being kicked out for losing physical challenges. By the second series the only way to get kicked out was to lose a fight.

Hopefully if there's a second season they'll get rid of some of the less footy related stuff. Understand that they're testing mental toughness. But they could likely try to do it in a more footy-directed way.

Geez that's a bit rough, the guy still tried, just some things people can't do.
He was never going to do it and didn't even want to try and do it from the start

I think if you put an AFL squad out on a 4km paddle board session you would get more than 1 or 2 pull out. More like ten. Even very successful players.

Yeah, Waylen was reluctant but it probably is not an indicator of AFL success. Would you take Padraig over Waylen? I wouldn't.

Anyone notice that they ****ed up the editing again after that tackling stuff? While it seemed like a bit of a giveaway that Moreland had won the tackle challenge, given they went to a break with something like 'Moreland unleashes his inner animal', after they came back, he was wearing the armband then they cut away to Ryan Fitzgerald beginning the announcement - no armband - then he announces it and he gets the armband. I hardly ever notice those continuity things in movies and stuff and that stood out like dog's balls. Couldn't get much more amateurish.

And yeah, they need to cut back on the wildcard/team bonding challenges...they should be about 15-20% of the show at most. Felt like they could have left a lot of that on the cutting room floor. Not really sure what the point was of the trip to Crown Casino was either.

Frustrating that we hardly get to see anything football related in this show.
Beach tackles and paddling across the bay is hardly riveting TV.
Then the rubbish about rating each other.
So glad the Yank has gone. Useless waste of space when someone who can actually play the game has already been delisted.

It's probably not the pulling out so much as him having to be talked into doing every single challenge like that, while everyone else just understands that they have to do it, because the other are all doing it. You can only get your hand held for so long and you can understand that the other players would probably be getting a bit pissed off with it.

Even then, at the end of the day, he kicked himself off. He could have stayed in the competition and chose not to.

Manson will find his way on to a list. At worse a rookie spot at Port I hope.

Why would an AFL club take him? Worst and weakest attitude I've ever seen from a footballer. I've seen fat old drunks and the lowest levels of suburban footy have more heart and go than him.

The show really has all the tools to be great viewing but dead set the producers are absolute amateurs. I'm actually embarrassed that our game gets represented in this fashion, It's so bad that I have to watch it, cringe worthy stuff.

Yeah I noticed that and I've found a lot of it to be pretty predictable. It was obvious in the previews when Waylen was going to put himself in the bottom 3 and it was obvious all week this week that he was going to be gone with what they showed of Voss. He wasn't going to cry over anyone else. The editing needs a bit of a tweak next season.

enjoyed the first few but with no football at all last night it was pretty crap, what does paddling on a board and beach wrestling have to do with footy.

The 'coming up after the break' stuff is shocking...just completely unnecessary and full of spoilers.
