The Frawley one is the interesting one, as it's speculated that he will end up at Geelong or Hawks potentially on less money than what Melbourne are offering.

That's where FA is breaking down a little - one of the arguments for why FA wasn't going to stuff up the league was "yeah but we have the salary cap". If blokes move for success (and fair enough too), then cap space doesn't mean a thing.

This was a rumour in 2011 .
The rumors have been circulating for over 3 months now and it seems like things have finally started to take motion.

As most people know by now Daniel Rich has already privately stated his preference to join West Coast as his family has pleaded for him to return home if given the chance. Wont go into it but his dad is very keen to get him home. Rich has told the Eagles however he will not join them unless he is given a long term deal which gives him security in the game. He also will not join the Eagles unless they outbid Brisbane.

Rich has held off all contract negotiations till the end of the season however his management last week asked all 3 clubs vying for his signature to make a initial offer. Brisbane and GWS didnt make one both choosing to wait till the end of the season. More or less both clubs want to know what they are dealing with when it comes to West Coasts resilience in signing him

Contract offered was 4 years, 1.6 mill base payment with extra incentives thrown in that would push Rich to the second highest paid player at the club (2 mill+ overall). Eagles are pretty confident they will only have to make this one offer. GWS now pretty much have to offer him 5 years at 800k a season to compete and despite dropping Fevolas wages, Brisbane are unlikely to be able to top 500k a season for his services

At this stage it appears Rich to the Eagles is about 90% done. The only chance Brisbane have of retaining Rich is a change of heart really.

Ahh classic bs from Naitawhoey.

This will help the leg speed problem.

Leg speed is not the problem... Just watch Shuey run down Colyer.

Selwood/Shuey/Yeo/NN offer plenty of pace in our midfield.

What we lack is clean ball movement. That is what makes you look quick or not

Compare our Adelaide game - clean skills, epic run through the guts. Our pace didn't change - just our skills.

If a ball can hit a bloke at full tilt without breaking stride, or a bloke can one-touch a ground ball - it makes you look so much quicker.

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast?

I would still be offering Brisbane and Rich something decent to try and get him over. We need another quality kick to our forwards and you don't getvmuch better than rich. we don't want a young mid to take a couple of years to come on, our spine is in the middle of its premiership window now and we just need that one more quality mid to complement the others. Now (coming back from his acl) is the time to try and talk Brisbane round. With everyone thinking we are getting a top 15 player in waterman for hopefully our third pick, throw our first two picks at Brisbane and offer rich a juicy 5 year deal

Unless we're getting picks back from them I wouldnt be offering our first and second for Rich, especially after a year out with an ACL.
