im not sure what he's trying to create. I think firstly he's on order from the producer to get himself on screen as much as possible, which isn't great when you're trying to produce good questions. But he's not actually asking questions, he's making statements, and hoping Malthouse co-signs on them. The way he goes about it isn't gonna create a discussion with Malthouse either. It's simply bewildering and the producers have to step back and actually work out what they're trying to do because right now it's just embarrassing

I guess, but I doubt it has any real effect. It might get some social media attention too but when the attention is because of how terrible your guy is...

Yeah I guess I wouldnt put it past them. They banged on about it alot when richo got his head bitten off by him. If they can make it a sideshow might mean more people tune in to see it or something. Just speculating here
The producers of Seven's football coverage pretty obviously run on the 'any publicity is good publicity' premise.

Sheahan is the also the campaigner who led the AFL's/Ross Oakley's charge by proxy to kill Fitzroy's credibility and spread disinformation about them to the public when they were battling for survival.
This did untold damage to their ability to attract new sponsors.

If there is one thing I will always be in agreement with Malthouse, is that the mainstream AFL media are a pack of headline-grabbing, ambulance-chasing campaigners who deserve to be treated with utter contempt.

I hate how he presents himself as some kind of omniscient godfather of AFL with his stupid grandiose comparisons, the way he delivers a statement even if its completely opinionated(which 110% it is) such that no one can retort is deadset cringe-worthy, then there's manner in which he lowers his head, looks above his glasses and in a way which would normally be reserved for an actual issue i.e. climate change, overpopulation, unemployment et al and proceeds to say... 'Chris Judd where is he?' That stupid one on one chat show where he thinks himself as the arbiter of moral righteousness, yet when someone questions something he has done he immediately changes topic. His insistence on asking everyone how much they earn, or if they are envious certain players get more money.
He's a ******* communications specialist, I hope one day the dickhead actually realises it. Until then he will probably continue to devour the smell of his own flatulence.
