Cheers. That's a shame. Do you think it's mainly because he can't really implement his own style?
This wouldn't help his cause. Play a style that suits the guys we have, but he isn't able to.

Unsure, would be interesting if they gave him the team and said, your call. But it's definitely set for the seniors. They play a similar game style, over handball it and don't have a forward set up...... so basically the seniors.

Not really.

In my view, they only look like a team on paper. The team aspect comes across as a forced entity and they look like 18 individuals who don't care or play for each other.

And it's not as development as we haven't seen very much development in the players either.

They don't play for him.

Was dropped due to being underdone.

That'll fix it.

Of all the frustrations from this season, this has frustrated me the most. There should never be a situation in which we don't play someone because he's spent too much time either as the sub, or as a travelling emergency.

You can't always control how the players will react under pressure, or whether they'll execute their skills, but this is entirely under the coach's control. If playing him as a sub this week means he won't be able to play next week, then don't play him as the sub. Either give him a full game or drop him!

And then we have the even more absurd situation where he's not fit enough to play because we used him as the sub too often, but he apparently is fit enough to be a travelling emergency, who presumably would have been expected to play if someone else went down. So now not only is our emergency someone who was left out, ostensibly, because he's been mismanaged to the point of being unable to play, but we're also in a situation where he'll be even less match-fit next week, which is our last of the season!!

I'm willing to cut the coaches some slack because we have serious deficiencies in our list and it might just not be possible to polish them up enough to play quality footy, but that level of mismanagement of two young players in Grigg and Lyons has been disgraceful.

I'd like to see a new club rule introduced - every week a player misses out because he's been the sub once too often in recent weeks, the entire selection panel gives back their salary for that week since they clearly haven't earned it.
