Autopsy Hawthorn v Geelong - "they weren't trying"

"At this point in time, we're feeling pretty positive about the night," Cats coach Chris Scott said.
"It sounds funny to say, but it was a step forward in our preparation. We always went into the game wanting to play well, we certainly didn't put the cue in the rack – not consciously – at half-time after a good performance.
"We'll learn some things from tonight. In that respect, it's kind of 'mission accomplished' a little bit but the competitor in you and in our boys would clearly liked to have performed better after half-time."

What a load of absolute bollocks! Would expect that from supporters but not the coach.

Just a speed hump in the road.

Moving right along.

Got no respect for that club anymore, they have become a bunch of sooky, expected to be handed everything campaigners.

Not long got home from the game, like the rest of us very pleased with the 2nd half and the result.

Sensational to wipe the smugness off the Rats fans faces, and certain media types.

Looks like the big loser from the match will be one B McEvoy.

Beautiful predicament to be in.

Yep I reckon Lingy was one of the last decent good guys from their recent successful era.

Too many staging, down hill skiing, cry baby, sooky la la's in the one team now for my liking.

Staging = cheating!!!!

If the umpires stopped paying p#ssweak frees to the stagers they just might stop doing it.

Maybe?

Shoe chased down a fairly fast player in the vfl today, after we were 20 goals up !

Footy would be great for Shoey if he could run straight lines all game, sadly you also have to turn, currently he has the turning circle of a truck . That's what makes him slow.

Scott is making as much sense as Tony Abbott.

Chris Scott has some real problems when a. congratulating the hawks and b. coming to grips where his team really is at.

They stopped completely at half time. They are fortunate to be in the top 4 and are keeping teams like North and Port out...from a couple of cheap games they won off Carlton..by way of ineptitude of their favourite umpires.

In short Chris Scott is a TWAT!

Remember when Hawkins kicked that goal and did that smug FU face to the nearby Hawks supporters? I remember it. I will always remember it. I hope he always remembers it. Smug prick.

Very much uncalled for that one.

He would be looking a little different now........with some egg on his face to go with the smug grin.

a simpkin is a quality runner he just really panics with footy in hand. I think Dureya or Litherland would give more flexibility then Spang and I can't imagine a tagging job on Taylor being trialled again.

He doesn't panic with the football in hand, he's actually quite composed......its his disposal by foot that lets him down at times.

Congrats guys. Too good.

Geelong seemed to stop running in the second half (there was a lot of hard work running going on in the first half) apart from the bit where taylor kicked his goal in the final quarter, thought you started to run again for a short while. Could Geelong be trying to hide that they could actually keep running for 4 quarters?
