jack riewoldt this weekend, became only the second tiger to kick 50 goals in five straight seasons...

puts it into perspective, he's been so consistent, and is our best forward in a very very long time (bar richo, he's in a category of his own).

for such a maligned forward, i think its a massive achievement, when you consider in 2009, we were wondering who the hell was going to replace richo. #grahampolakcall

Well done and congrats to Jack. For those that still want to have a crack at him get stuffed. Does so many of the little things good forwards do that get unnoticed.

That's an interesting stat; especially since he's the only second to do so (behind Jack Titus) when Richmond itself has had many top forwards during its 100+ years in the AFL. (Matthew Richardson, Michael Roach, Dick Harris, Kevin Bartlett, etc.)

It's been reported that Jack has a great football mind. He reads the play really well and is able to lead into the good area at the right time. That would be his biggest trick IMO.

and congratulations to Gordo for joining an elite group of players when he plays his 11th game...is there any other inane milestones we need to hail dudes? like get outta here with thi s**t..

yeah, 250+ goals in five years is a horrible achievement...

dude for a FF its money for jam or they dont get to play there....like i am not knocking JR, just think we have a stat for every ******* pissy thing that moves on the field nowadays..I mean, I would think that JR wouldnt even know or care about this one...I would like Jack to join Jack on a few other stats..then we can talk.

If that is the case, Jack is a better forward than Buddy, Richo, Disco, NRoo, Pavlich, Treadrea etc because they didn't/don't have the same consistency. It is a great achievement and one that shouldn't be looked down lightly as it isn't very common.

yeah Jack is a better forward than all of them...now do us a favour, try and get on a footy show or somewhere where you can step up and shout it out and I will sit back and watch as the crowd laugh their ******* arses off fool....like FFS, some people dont get it...

Yeah and Marty McGrath is the greatest player to everr play the game, he averaged 5 goals a game over his entire career...FFS

While a meritorious effort has to be acknowledged to put it in perspective Breust @ 52, Ballantyne @ 45 and Betts @ 46.

When he kicks 100 then it is an achievement;

Gee. You said it was money for jam. Obviously it isn't, otherwise better players would have done it.

My point was one of sarcasm to highlight how your thought process failed. No was is Jack as good as any of them.

yeah...jack was is not good any as of them..i wont have to highlight anything with your thought process, there is nothing there to highlight

There might be 30 players in Vfl/afl history that have done it. Its a neat effort, and one that hopefully he can build on. Adding to his 5 leading goalkicking awards and 2 colemans...building a pretty decorated career for himself.
it more speaks to his consistency, reliability, durability, than his footballing ability...

to be able to do it 5 years in a row, is great, id rather a guy kicking 50 every year, than one who kicks 75 one year, then 30 the next. mr reliable, its automatic, and also really, and more importantly highlights how durable he is, deledio of the forward line.

Tell me one player on that list that Jack is better than? He is a great player no doubt but those listed are on another level.

And I meant way. LOL

25 blokes have done it in 120 years of league football?
and two of them have done it, in a time where only one guy has kicked 100 in a season since 1998...
yeah, its definitely money for jam.....
