AL West currently has 3 teams in the playoff with the A's and M's in the AL Wildcard spots. Would love to get King Felix on the bump for a one game playoff in his current form. Kuma would be a very handy second option as well.

David Price just gave up 9 consecutive hits to start the 3rd inning (none out) and gave up 6 runs (with bases still loaded). that is one of the weirdest things ive seen in baseball.

Ended up giving up 8. No big hits either, 2 infield hits, all the rest pretty simple ground balls.

Greene pitching a cracker although only 3 innings so far.

Mike Trout turned 23 less than three weeks ago. But don't let the tender age fool you.

With each passing day, the Angels outfielder proves he's already one for the ages.

Wednesday, in the seventh inning of a game that had long since been drained of suspense, Trout made history by lining a home run into the shrubbery behind the center-field wall at Angel Stadium. With that shot, Trout not only closed out the Angels' 6-1 victory over the Miami Marlins, but also became only the fifth American League player with two 30 home run seasons before the end of his age-22 campaign.

Wowee. Playing against the Cards. 6 strong innings from Hendricks for 2 runs. 2-2 tied in the 8th. Baez hits a double with two on, grab the 2-0 lead. Then Soler hits a monster two run shot, second home run of the night to take us to 6-2

Soler 3-3 with two HR's, single, walk and 3 RBI. Not bad for your third MLB game.

Having a discussion yesterday with some mates on AL M.V.P and who gets it. They will probably go with Trout, Abreu would have rights to be annoyed has had a better year in nearly every statistical category.

With the White Sox fading out of contention, that may do more harm than good to Abreu

Meanwhile Angels extend their lead in the AL West to 4 game, with a shuthout of the A's using a 8 pitcher rotation.

Angels sweep the series against the A's , thanks to a 7 innings shutout from Matt Shoemaker. Now a 5 game lead over the A's in AL West.
A's finally got there first run in the finals innings.
That trade of Cespedes really hurting the A's.

Adam Dunn almost certainly to be traded to Oakland. Not sure what we're giving up

from the White Sox early Sunday morning to cap off a frenzied trade season.

The A's sent right-hander Nolan Sanburn, their No. 12-ranked prospect according to MLB.com, to Chicago in the deal. The White Sox are also packaging cash with Dunn to help offset his remaining salary.

Cubs win, 63rd of the year, probably the earliest we've avoided 100 losses in a while, over 500 since the all star break, more RBI's for Soler, another Alcantara HR and arrieta pitching well.
Although Castro, on a ear since start of August, injured himself, so it isnt all good. And the Cardinals are suddenly clear in the NL Central, with Brewer losses and Themselves beating the Pirates (who i'd prefer to reach the postseason). not all good news

In a catch up game in Cleveland, Angels routed the tribe 12-3 on the back of Home runs to Calhoun,Freese,Kendrick and Pujols. Now on a 5 game win streak following a 4 game sweep of the Twins. Now lead the A's by 7.5 games

Gray Lester Smaradzija and Kazmir pitch a combined 30.1 innings in the 4 game series against the White Sox. Give up a combined 4 runs, we lose the series three games to one. Lost our last 9 one run games :(
