Credit to the Ayce, the big man played a great game and that goal out of the ruck in the 3rd quarter was a pearler. Happy with our performance as we fielded a weakened side against a very good Williamstown team and had a good win in the end. Great to see footy back at Whitten Oval and great to be yelling out Footscray again. There was more verve, passion and feel for the club at Whitten Oval, than there was at the other game at the Docklands. Well, If Maple has no idea how to coach and gets us in a Prelim Final and Macca has every idea on how to coach and limps us into 14th, think I will stick with the bloke who apparently cannot coach, he will have a flag in his first year of not being able to coach.

Yep, AFL listed players are eligible. Minson came third in the 2011 liston medal despite playing about seven less games than Valenti.

He has been back playing for a month now, each game has been poor, has been unlucky with injuries but even before them last year he was struggling at VFL level, he is big chance to be cut.

Thanks SD, hasn't been easy to follow. Hopefully he survives the offseason cull.

He did very little in the this game for 3/4
Then and we needed to. Hold tight against the wind in the last - he took 9 towering marks on all parts of the ground - it was an imperial last quarter with the game in the balance. His talent is extraordinary. Amazing performance.

He'll be pup and about next season. Lots to work with and will benefit from his time in the VFL. Will have a couple of Jones contributions for the next red faces thread.

Like I said, I remember him being reported. Can't remember if he was suspended or if he got off.

A Votes per game table would be interesting to see, especially for the AFL and AFL affiliate teams. But you'd have to ignore when a player just got left out, and only adjust for when they play in the AFL.

Another interesting stat, although I'm not really sure what it means: Footscray as a group polled more votes than any other club with 87 (Box Hill and Port Melbourne both finished on 82).
