Cheers man doctor said about 6-12 months to get back into sport depending on rehab

Yeah it'll be 12. I know a number of guys who rushed it and have re injured it. Early days will be slow when you can't do much but it's a great opportunity to spend a year focusing on getting your body right and in great condition. You'll be sweet.

When I get back to basketball I am going to be worrying about the rebounds (that's how I did it)

I'd leave the plastic on for as long as possible. About 7-10 days or however long the physio says. It's pretty amazing that you come out of it with such a small scar for the damage that is done to it.
