I think Blease is ok on the fwd flank for a bottom 4 team but he won't get a game for us. Amon will be a way better player than Blease anyway.

If we did get Ryder (long way to go I'm sure) I would still get Luke Lowden then add another young ruck to the list (Baulderstone if he's available). Then plonk a break glass in case of emergency ruck on the rookie list. Even Angus Graham would do (he was alright at sanfl level this year and that's all we need. Be good for the Magpies too. He gave Baulderstone a bath when Adelaide last played Norwood 49ho to 18).

Then who would you nominate as a rookie lister? He's here, would cost nothing and with 5-6 rucks already on the list it would be a tsunami of injuries for us to need him anyway. Basically he's there to strengthen the Magpies.

He'd be trained by a proper fitness coach too.
