At this stage I'll probably finish with cash.
Overpay now and that means you overpay next year.
Having said that I hate how I am OK at H2H but really suck at this, however I am trying to use this year to fix it...I'll be taking 2-3 sleepers at hopefully a discounted rate.

I've never played roto so this should be interesting. With my starting team I feel like I've gone in a regular draft and traded my first two picks for a stack of mid rounders. I'm cautiously optimistic even though I've probably paid overs on a few guys. I've landed my top bid every round since round 5.

Are we limited to only one pick during the blind nomination round, or can we take as many as we have spots for?

From what I've gleaned from last year's thread we each pick a guy per round and nominate a price. There also doesn't seem to be any restriction for winning two bids in a row.

It's completely blind to other Managers, so you send Bill a player and a $ amount via pm. For example;
Cameron Bairstow $750,550
At the deadline stated, Bill will post the results. If you happen to nominate the same player as another Manager, the highest bid wins.
If there is only one Manager remaining to fill out their roster at a point, as with last year, we will likely get that Manager to nominate players and allocate an even amount to each.

Point of order - you don't have to spend your entire budget....so if I'm last, I would expect to only have to bid 500K on any given player?

Last season we had a similar situation and I decided that the fairest option was to divide the teams remaining budget evenly amongst the last 'uncontested' draft targets.
As it's not explicitly in the rules, I'll have to make a determination when we get to that point. Let's see how it plays out but I won't expect you to pay $5m for a last pick.
I think it's important to encourage full participation in the Auction so we have (close to) realistic values on players. Maybe as well as a cap, we have a budget floor? I'll give it some thought....

I'm happy to make the rule you have to allocate the remainder of your budget on your last pick or to split evenly amongst last picks.
I just want to know the definitive rule as it impacts my last bids (and perhaps even today's).
I think as Comm just make a call and perhaps we discuss a rule for next year.

Ok, as it's the only reference point we have, we'll do it the same as last season.
Once we only have one roster left to complete, that Manager will nominate players to fill thier roster and these players will be allocated an even split of the team's remaining budget.
