I suspect the AFL wanted the Bombers out of Melbourne for the 1st game especially if Hird is still coach. If it had been in Perth or Adelaide there would be too much booing, Tassie is for nonVic clubs, Brisbane had the Beams vs Pies drawcard that needed to get played early and the Giants would draw less than us so that left us. Yay.
