We are terrible at batting 2nd. Bat 1st and I bet we look 100x better here. It's really weird.

Shane Watson has sat back in his bean bag and cracked a Scotch.
Hmmm to me that looks fairly marginal.
maybe if he gets drunk the night before the **** will actually play a decent innings for NSWShane Watson has sat back in his bean bag and cracked a Scotch.
Can see what you're saying, but with a genuinely strong 1st innings total it would've been a draw rather than a loss (OK it's not over yet but it's as good as).I actually don't think it would matter. Our bowling attack was impotent. Our spinners haven't done the trick on this pitch.
DW guys. This seems to be good news to me because it shows just how much control curators have towards accustoming a pitch to give the home team the biggest advantage possible these days.
We will probably not only have another 4-0 whitewash against India, but also have the biggest advantage towards winning the World Cup next year. I really hope my $300 dollar gamble at buying World Cup final tickets pays off.
But they're still killing us with LBWs though. The spin isn't deviating hugely as some of the hawk-eye replays suggest. However it is being trajected into our batsmen's legs at speeds and turn which is making it hard for our batsmen to second guess. This isn't even a turner

Both IMO.So our batsmen can't play s**t and there is nothing wrong with the pitch?
Both IMO.
Don't get me wrong we have put on an absolute Melbourne-like performance in this test and should be ashamed. But the pitch seems to be causing the ball to come in at unpredictable trajectories/speeds to the batsmen that are consistently getting them tripped up at the legs (even though there isn't that much turn).
If the game was all of a moved into New Zealand (or a neutral pitch) mid-way through the test, I think Pakistan would still win, but not by the same magnitude.
Maybe. But in recent years there seems to have been a noticeable trend where teams playing games in their home environment seem to dominate, but fall to tatters when they play on pitches they're unaccustomed to. It seems to me that this is more the case now than say 10-15 years ago.Well yeah but it's hardly because of the curators
Watson is a quality player of spin and should be hurried back
