"WEST Australian Blaine Boekhorst shapes as the first mature-age player picked at next week's NAB AFL Draft, with the midfielder in top-30 contention.

The 21-year-old, who played 19 of 20 games this season for Swan Districts, flew to Melbourne this week to undergo a medical test for clubs at AFL House. Boekhorst is believed to have attracted the interest of Collingwood and Carlton, with Fremantle another club linked to the 184cm on-baller.

He averaged 21 disposals for Swan Districts and impressed with his run and carry and speed, and was invited to test at the West Australian state draft combine in October."

Not a bad highlights package too.

Is he a Liam Anthony clone?

If Pickett is taken before WCE can call his name, it looks like WCE will shout utensil at the top of their lungs :(

I'd like to know if our resident Deep Throat scoopy has any idea of how deep in the draft we're willing to risk utensil sliding to.

Depends on who slides to Geelong pick, a lot of rumours making Cockatoo go to WCE, I really think that's the pick that decides if we get him, it will be between him and Weller for WCE

well it all depends who is left when our pick comes around and if he is still around we will be very excited and welcum him to our great club. If we dont pick him with our first pick he wont last to our next and north know it.

He looks pretty good and would take the punt with pick 35. Don't think he has much of a left foot though.

+ Duggan.

Personally a bit meh about Duggan, gut feel is they will reach for Garlett if either cockatoo or Weller gone, but has his fans

Edit: GET GARLETT instead for us
