Proving to be. Nintendo Australia say they are selling them for $29.95 if you get into contact with them. Best bet if you want one is try your luck at EB or JB. EB seem to be tapped out though.

Well, I pick up my amiibos from EB for $18 a pop. I wonder if delivery from BigW would still keep it under that.
I'll call Nintendo tomorrow and let the thread know. Hopefully not too hard.
I'm going to try JB tomorrow and pray they can get a hold of one for me. Would love EB to have one but not rating my chances.

Wii U Pro Controller will work just fine for me.

smash + adaptor will be at target for $79 and they have amiibo's for $14. i thought the adaptor bundle was JB + EB exclusive but whatever. i don't plan on getting a Wii U for another couple of months but I will pick this up just in case they end up being super rare.. though I'm sure you'll be able to buy the adaptors right from Nintendo for a while. con

Hmm wonder if the adapter will work on the soft modded vWii of the Wii u? currently installing Nintendont to play GC backups, would be nice to use the actual controller on it.

Has anyone bought Nintendo games from thegamesmen? Their price for Smash Bros is $15 less but I really need that registration card and this would be my first time buying from them.
Swanston St doing a midnight launch, rang the guy and he said he's ordered as many adaptors as he was allowed but if you don't turn up before 9pm at the latest there's not much chance of it happening.

Just got message from eb to say it'll be available tomorrow. "Save money by trading in consoles and games" nah, I'll be saving $20 by getting you to price match, much better than getting $5 off with a trade in

Get to Target, they have one copy. Not overly thrilled. Waiting for JB to open now so I can hopefully pick up one up there.

Walking home from EB with my copy.
Lined up at target before they opened, they only had three of them but I was the third person there, wouldn't sell it to us because 'it isn't released yet'. After a bit of arguing and getting them to call other targets/jb they said yes it's released but our system won't let us sell it because its locked anyway. But they couldn't sell it as another item because it would cause issues if we wanted to return them. Managed to convince them that nobody who was buying the adaptor had any inclination of returning it and to just sell them and we'll get out of your hair. Took 90 minutes but managed to score one.
Felt like an arsehole for hassling them but seriously sell me the bloody thing!

Went to JB, got the game there. Got a Link amiibo and GC controller from EB.
I don't want to bust open the amiibo packaging. So pretty.
