I'm no expert but I think we can take the fact that the helicopter was there but wasn't needed as a good thing?

Not exactly, severe head injuries tend to see patients stay ground based due to the impact the pressure in flight can have on the brain.

See the recent f1 incident with Jules for an example.

Maybe so but lets not pretend he played a military medium short ball
Well. Long term he needs to work on this. Not saying for one second that I don't wish him the best in his recovery.
You really are the biggest ******* on this board, don't know how anyone can think otherwise. Have some ******* respect.

so do they call the whole match off? Sure he fell face first, but he'll get the best medical treatment, the game should go on.

Do you stop sport for every seemingly serious injury? James Hird getting his face smashed in? Voss when he broke his leg in mid air?
Neither were life threatening.

If a bloke needs CPR then yeah

This was a life or death situation as I understand it. Abandoning play for the day seems right to me.

A broken leg is a bit different to collapsing unconscious, requiring CPR and a specialist team having to be flown in.,.

I think this is a bit more serious than a broken leg. I'd rather not take any risks.

Yeah just reading that he was worked on for half an hour on the pitch. That changes things.

If he got hit on the head and was merely stretchered off then I'd say carry on.

Given what I'm reading now, fair call to abandon play.

This is eerily similar to Fabrice Moumba, although different lead ups to the incident.

red+black the above game was abandoned too, rightfully.

Play has rightfully been postponed, and every finger crossed, we won't be abandoning the game completely :(
