Yehh i agree.. Not sold yet..
Already have 1 big giant in Day who plays 3 good games a season and is missing the other 20 odd games..
Not sure i want to use our last top 10 pick for awhile on another Big guy..
Csnt exactly fit Dixon, Lynch, Day and Wright in the 1 forward line.. N yes.. Injuries.. But what if they all stay healthy for 2 years when were fighting for premiership and to have a top 10 pick whose been playing seconds for the past 2 years when could of had a Duggan, pickett, cockatoo or Laverde getting a game in the seniors each week adding to the strength of our team etc

My preferences of our picks in order.

Pick 8: Duggan, Wright/Pickett.

Pick 15: Cookatoo, Weller, Langford.

Pick 29: Blakely, Menadue.

We need quality depth in most areas so really looking to seeing who is available at our picks and who we select.

My order of preference ATM is -

1. Petracca
2. Pickett
3. Brayshaw
4. Laverde
5. Durdin
6. McCartin
7. Wright
8. Cockatoo
9. Ahern
10. De Goey
11. Duggan
12. Langford
13. Blakely
14. Maynard
15. Miller
16. Smith
17. J. Lever
18. R. McKenzie
19. Goddard
20. Garlett
21. Lamb

Any three out of this lot and I think we'll have done well. If we get Wright at #8 that's still a win for us as I rate him 7th best for us. Cockatoo through to Blakely would be a great get at #15. If Touk Miller or Clem is still there at #29 that would be nice. Either would be a good small defender/forward / mid rotation.

The talent guru guy Sheehan said he would have Wright as the next best behind McCartin, Brayshaw and Petracca.

At 203cm I think he could be an awesome forward for us and solves some issues we have faced this year.

Ben, agree, we need more strong bodied pacy guys. We already have enough talls that can only play forward line thus we need a player or 2 that are recruited for their rucking ability as a priority.
The draft tomorrow will sort itself out as clubs pick their choices,, one can perform their own phantom draft, guessing really. Reality is who we get goes down to what players the other clubs select.

A thought just crossed me about how Clayton once talked about stockpiling talls for currency. Guess the selection does make some good sense.
