Having trouble downloading, but can report that unlike last year no home games clash with Hawthorn.
Eight home games v the old VFA clubs but only Richmond of the AFL reserves sides (no Dogs, Pies, Cats or Bombers). That will keep the crowds low, but is better than going head to head v Hawthorn.
On field plenty of home % boosters.

BOX HILL HAWKS
Box Hill Hawks will open the season and try and extract revenge against 2014 Grand Final opponent Footscray in Round 1.
The Hawks will meet former assistant coach Patrick Hill and a number of former players like Kalem Post and Brandon Wood in Round 12 as they host Frankston.
The Hawks have nine games against 2014 finalists
Box Hill Hawks will have its byes in Round 3 & 9

 20 30/8/15 v Williamstown BHCO

The Hawks play Collingwood, Bulldogs, Essendon, Sandringham, Richmond, Casey Scorpions, Port Melbourne and Geelong only once each through the season.

I think that looks like a decent draw at this stage. Good to finish the home & away season at home.

Update:- Rd 1 v Footscray is now at 12pm (TV game).

This is a sensational fixture for Box Hill. Challenging no doubt but we can again threaten.
Looking forward to a couple more outings to Windy Hill, Vic Park & Cattery too.

Wow, 15 Aug Box Hill play the Cats at Geelong and then Hawthorn play Geelong at the MCG that evening.
Pub crawl in Geelong between the games? Calling it now- take the train!

Who is responsible for the Development Squads Draws???....Why on earth do we play the Northern blues 4X, while only playing Casey & Sandy once????

Same thing happened last year against Coburg, whom we actually played twice in a row with a bye thrown in between....Just seems to make a mockery of the comp IMO....Absurd!

16 matches is a joke as well.
Also, why does the VFL play just 18 games?
Should be 20.
In 2017 when we have 16 teams (Saints/Sandy split), they should cut out the weekly bye bye and have 22 games over 24 weeks same as AFL (or at least 20 over 22).
VFL ressies and U19s always played 22 matches.

There are a couple of sorta 'clashes' - i.e. weekends where you won't be able to attend both Box Hill and HFC.

Box Hill play 16 May at Windy Hill at 12pm, Hawks play Melb at MCG at 2:10.

Box Hill play 27 June at Vic Park at 1pm, Hawks play Ess at MCG at 1:40.

That's the third year running we play Geelong at Geelong, why can't we play them on our turf for once?

Great that there are no clashes with Hawthorn though :thumbsu:
Hopefully we get a home final against the Cats or otherwise play them next year at BH.

That's frustrating- on my to do list for today to buy a 2015 diary. Hadn't noted any clashes yet. Especially being the old suburban venues, would have been nice to see these games. Although Vic Park these days looks like a recreation ground, not an old VFL/AFL venue for the majority.

I will always have a soft spot for Ballarat. Been a few times for the footy, also an end of season cricket trip, met Suzi Olsen at the footy, drove back after the footy through a major hail storm back to Melbourne, dated a Balla girl for a bit back in the day. Yeah, missing the chance to go back!

Sorry to disappoint but no.

I got a tap on the back at a game and nearly crapped my dacks. Turn around and there is her highness!
This tale deserves a thread all of it's own.

The fixture looks a friendly one, although the boys will be pretty pissed they have a bye so early.

From a Hawthorn supporter perspective, it is a great fixture.

There's very little in the way of clashes between Box Hill and Hawthorn while home games at Box Hill City Oval tend to fall on weekends where Hawthorn are playing interstate.

Hopefully that means we can see a lot of you at Box Hill home games!
