The 2015 SANFL IGA League season kicks off with two blockbuster matches on the Easter Weekend. Easter Thursday, April 2, Norwood and Sturt clash under lights at Coopers Stadium. On Good Friday, April 3, Glenelg and South Adelaide play at Gliderol Stadium from 3.10pm. Grand Final rematch, featuring Norwood and Port Adelaide, to be played under lights on Friday April 24 at Adelaide Oval. Glenelg will host Adelaide on the same night at Gliderol Stadium.

At least one match to be played in regional South Australia with Adelaide tackling Port Adelaide at Balaklava Oval in Round 7, Sunday May 17. West Adelaide could host Port Adelaide in the Riverland on Saturday June 13 (Round 10), which is still to be confirmed. All SANFL League finals will be played at Adelaide Oval across four weekends, with the Grand Final on Sunday September 27.

A total of 23 matches on Sundays with two games on the Queen’s Birthday Holiday (Monday June 8) - Glenelg v North Adelaide (Gliderol Stadium) and South Adelaide v Eagles (Hickinbotham Oval). Two Split Rounds (Round 10 and 17) which will see matches being played across two weekends, including a Thursday night contest between Norwood and North Adelaide at Coopers Stadium on August 13. The West End State team will play the WAFL at Lathlain Park -- home of Perth Demons -- on Saturday May 23, ensuring no league matches will be played on this weekend.

Interesting to see Adelaide take their only home game to Balaklava this year instead of Clare, I was hoping there would be a Clare showdown every year in memorium to the poor little boy who died last year who was a mad crows supporter (his father runs Clare Valley Toyota up there). However at the same time good to see it being taken elsewhere as well, should generate some more interest in the SANFL.

They made it pretty clear that it would be in a different location each year, which is fair enough. Having said that I'd be surprised if it's played much further than a 2 hour drive from Adelaide, so in future seasons we're probably looking at places like Victor Harbor, Mt Barker, Murray Bridge, Nuriootpa, Kadina...riverland at a stretch.
