Multiplat Rugby League Live 3

Was awaiting the press release before putting a thread up for this game, but here it is. Rugby League Live 3.

This will be the first game I've been at BigAnt Studios for since it's inception, so I'm really glad to see what can be done from beginning to end on this one!

And while the full game is to come out in 2015, you can access a part of the game right now by trying the demo, which gives you access to the FanHub a creation suite much like that of the Don Bradman Academy, only that it's improved exponentially since then. There's also heaps of content being unlocked over time to help further your character creations:

Genuine question so don't interpret it as trolling but were those current gen or last gen screens?

I am aware that it is still in development.
They aren't console shots, they're from PC.

The shots were taken a couple of months ago, before a raft of lighting and graphical balancing had gone in. Right now it's looking to the stage the FanHub is at currently.

Okay, cheers for that.

You've got the multiplat tag there, but can you say what consoles this is coming to? OP doesn't mention anything other than PC
I forgot to copy that part of the press release.

It's coming to PS3, 360, PS4, XBOX ONE and Steam.

Wrong code.

Here's hoping Big Ant's next game announcement is for a better sport. Still whip out AFL Live every now and then, sure would like to see them build on that.

As for this game, screenshots this early is a poor decision in my opinion, people judge Aussie games fast and to post images which are clearly a long way from completion will just put fuel on the fire. Features list looks good, be a pro mode is a cool feature, wasn't aware you could be a pro at rugby league but there ya go.

Manly vs Canberra has about 75,000 more people in the stands at Homebush than would actually be there.

I've got one of the old games, St George were awesome. Get the ball to Gasnier, a simple shimmy, shimmy, whoosh, and you were through.

Whenever I think about what BigAnt is doing with DBC and RLL, and then think about what became of AFL Live 2, I get rather depressed.

Most notable inclusion is Be A Pro mode which could be fantastic.

This could be a good indication of what AFL live would have been if Big Ant had stayed on as developers.

Is there going to be a delay on Steam like there was with DBC?
I'm not actually sure on that one, it's not up to us with that unfortunately. It's up to the publisher, I can try and find out on Monday.

Q2 this year is what we're aiming for right now.

Wow, wasnt expecting it so soon.
The previous Big Ant RLL games get a bit of a bad rap at times but RLL 2 especially was quite good. They didnt look top notch graphics wise but there was always a decent learning curve and depth, especially in 2 as i said.
I was halfway through a full season before it really struck me what was do-able gameplay wise and once you got the hang of it it was great.
Don Bradman was fantastic so i'll be keeping an eye on this, especially as Ross has already said publicly that this will be by far and away their best game yet.
As others have said i often shed a tear thinking about AFL live and what mightve been.
I despise Tru Blu. After a quick buck instead of investing in what couldve become a robust franchise.

New screenshots! More to come today.
