What's news in the Mallee league? Who's coaching? Ins? Outs? Sounds like the Lakers are on the move and the Giants have been formed. Might be the end of the Mallee Fl!!!

Out: Jeparit Rainbow. JR have been allowed to apply to join the Horsham DFNL for season 2015. HDFNL still have to vote on it, but potentially only five clubs to compete in the Mallee next year.

Ouyen & Walpeup transfer to Millewa FL (bringing league to 9 teams) or Sunraysia FL if strong enough
Sealake & Woomelang & Giants transfer to North Central FL (10 teams) or Golden Rivers FL

Long trip from Hay to Woomelang etc

Long trip from Hay to anywhere. They have struggled for years to fill both seniors and reserve teams. I suggested a few years ago Hay would be better off in the Northern Rivers FL, where there is no reserve comp but they still have juniors and netball.

Heard that the majority of north central clubs don't want sea lake, woomelang, giants or anyone else from up north......hard enough to recruit now let alone asking players to travel further to woop woop

Well it's official- JR will play HDFL in 2015 and Mallee will be down to 2 games a weekend.

Sounding as though The Hopetoun part of the "giants" are convincing the Beulah connections to push to enter HDFL in 2016 rather than pursue the North Central??

So sad to see this happening in what has been such a sensationally talented league in recent times full of such amazing community spirit

travel Rainbow to Apsley is closer then Jeparit to Manangatang
suprised Jeparit Rainbow and SM giants didnt go Wimmera Football League would been more sense
since Jeparit came from the Wimmera league and again North Central would get rid of their bye
I remember Benalla and District had a 5 team comp i think 1 year and Omeo and District once upon a time had a 4 team comp until they got new clubs .

With one wk til kick off on possibly the final season surely Easter has brought up some discussions to share??

Anyone able to share anymore light on walp und recruits?? Will they may enough difference to make them legitimate gf contenders?? True they have gone all out with a last ditch effort to snag a flag?

Why no commitment to interleague this season?

BeaulH/hopetoun merger seems to be coming along smoothly. Kane Robins a huge acquisition back into the league.
