This 'campaign' as you call it only started this year when they ruined pretty much everything. Everyone was a fan of their 2013/14 range Im pretty sure, it was largely faultless
It was amazing especially the v neck

Exactly. Adidas had the best template in the league and arguable the best supporters meechandise and they undeedlessly changed it. That's what we have a problem with. Sometimes things don't need messing with.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but the Dogs jumper is different this year.

The hoops are lower on the jumper compared to last year, as seen in these two photos.

With the hoops lower it also means the numbers don't overlap with the red hoop either.

Looks s**t!! The hoops are way too low and look weird. If the reason for moving them down was to stop the number over lapping the hoop at the back, why would they do it so the base of the number sits on the hoop?? There needs to be a gap. 2014 version much better, even with the number overlap.

Gotta love a guy starting a petition who thinks:

1) we had a choice in making a change

2) can't read our own constitution (bet he never read it, and just assumes it's the same as the Dons one)

3) the old compromise is in anyway a superior looking design to the black sash
It is the same as the Dons' one. Well, very similar. Essendon's says that their jumper shall be a red sash on a black background or as required by the governing body of the competition they're playing in. Richmond's says their jumper shall be yellow and black and the design approved by the AFL.

He's probably assumed it says "the jumper shall be black with a yellow sash and nothing else ever or the world will explode".

Thats actually a big difference. That requirement for a red sash is one of the main reason their clash jumpers have been some of the most hideous ever created, the red sash is non-negotiable.

With ours, we could have polka-dots, as long as they are yellow and black

Even with Essendon's, if they entered, say, the BigFooty Football League, and the BFFL mandated that no team shall have red on their kit, their constitution still would allow for them to create a kit without any red.

but they are not entering a new league, they are already in the league

Also if you read that statement, it could be argued that the only alternate is one mandated upon them by the AFL

Given the AFL grasp for design, do we really want them dictating jumper design to clubs (rather than just approving it)?

Also even if the club had the power to do it, it wouldnt last - any board that removed the red sash would be turfed by the members at an EGM (just like ours would if teal suddenly became the main colour of our jersey).

Just ask WCE supporters how much they like a board imposing an unpopular design on the club

It was an example!

What I am saying is that the red sash on black COULD be changed, without breaching the constitution - IF the AFL requires them to. The red sash is non-negotiable unless the AFL requires that it not be there. Same with the black background.
Just like with Richmond. The only difference is Richmond could choose whatever pattern they like, so long as it's yellow and black, and not be breaching their own rules. If the AFL made Richmond have a white clash, then they'd also not be breaking their own rules as there's room made for requirements of the governing body. As with Essendon.

The thing is as well, constitutions can be amended. There just has to be the will to do it.

Personally, I find Essendon's insistence on only ever wearing a red sash on a black background "'cos that's what we've always done in every game ever", a tad childish. I mean, an inversion of colours is still the same design, and the same colours. It would still scream 'we are Essendon'.

The numbers on Gold Coast's guernsey look strangely lower than normal.

I reckon the numbers on North's guernsey look lower with Canterbury too. Hard to tell from today's stream though, could just be a combination of not having the NMFC there and no blue on the back of the collar. Was a hell of a lot of white above the numbers though.

Which then also had an effect on the stripes on the back of the jumper, where they looked awfully short.

With the White shorts and the cut off middle strip, it's an incredibly white looking North Melbourne.
