A true fast, going two to three days or longer only drinking water. Who has tried it. Who has considered it, or is considering it ?? Not just as a weight loss technique, but to really get a true understanding of your own body, and help to understand the emotional relationship that exists with food ?? There is some very interesting data and information that exists on this topic.

Starting a 4 day fast on Tuesday. I have been doing them once every 8 weeks for 18 months. Get through the first day and its easy to the point that on the 4th day your not really interested in food.

And your correct on the research, especially the regeneration of white blood cells.

Check this thread out, there are heaps of information from a lot of BF members who fast.

Thanks for the link. I did a couple of searches, but only found posts discrediting fasting. Posts claiming it was dumb, ridiculous and the stupidest thing they had heard. That is some very good reading. I have just finished a 72 hour fast, and it was quite the experience. I have just had my first thing to eat since friday morning and just eating again was very intense. I am now looking at moving to a 16/8 fast full time, with a fast day on Sunday. Looking forward to, and expecting some good results.
