Devil's advocate, bat steady preserving wickets now. Get to 125 off 30 overs then accelerate and get to 250. Plenty of runs then Boult and Southee can crack loose. Not like Finch and Warner are the best at preserving their wickets at time. :rainbow:

Are you serious?

They have only scored 50 runs of the first 16 overs, they have their 3 best batsmen back in the shed, and you think they can score 200 off the remaining 34 overs?

Can someone please make a GIF of the McCullum wicket. I don't have the mad skillz required.

Taylor is still a better batsman than Guptill and McCullum, he's just been out of form.

he would phrase that as mark "leader of men standing in front of a team, responsible for the decisions and outcomes, stating things that are known and probably go without saying anyway" nicholas

Spot on!

What's more likely - the Australian cricket team and captain have a plan in place in the most important ODI of the last 7.5 years for us, or Clarke is being petulant and just making it up as he goes along based on his likes/dislikes.

Some people...

Of course he has a plan and he will not deviate from it, part of my point

Faulkner will get 10 overs, even if they cost 90 runs, same with Hazelwood, perfect time to get a couple of overs out of the way against a fresh batsman, set batsmen will smash him

Watson and Maxwell will both get 5 overs, even if Maxwell takes 3 wickets in his 5, he wont get any more, Watson might go for 20 off his 1st, he will still get the other 4....

It would be good to see bowlers who take wickets given a chance of taking more by bowling to new batsmen instead of being whisked off every time for the front line bowlers to come back, get no wickets then bring back the wicket taker when the batsmen are set...

the heck Elliot.
