Heard from a Dogs fan in the thick of their era, awash with silverware and pokie dollars, that they had designs on promotion also.

And of course, earlier this month the official Norwood Twitter feed replied to a Port punter mocking their lack of AFL status with "never say never".

What planet are these clowns on?!

If Port Adelaide, as the biggest standalone club by miles, with 36 local premierships, 4 old-timey national titles, 1 AFL premiership and almost 150 years of history can almost go under due to the predatory business practices of the SANFL, how do these minnows reckon they'll go with the second third licence?

Utterly deluded.

Apparently it was 100% Port's complete and utter mismanagement that got us into the bind we were in, and successfully running an AFL club is a simple matter of getting Tim Cooper or Thirsty Camel Munno Para to pump in a few G's. Build it and they will come.

Add in Norwood and Adelaide would be cannabalising the same market. And Centrals. Geez, they make our supporter base look like lifestyles of the rich and famous. Personally I'd like Norwood in the AFL just for the fact that them and Adelaide would be a civil war in the Eastern suburbs.

Yeah, "what were Port Power thinking paying the mandatory $10,000,000 in total player payments each year?! when we get in we'll pay our jets with free hire cars from Steinborner Holden and give the rest landscaping jobs on the side"

I got up at 0600 Perth time and booked a day off work to upgrade 3 interstate membership tickets and got 3 in section 132.Pretty stoked with that but the club had emailed me a few weeks ago suggesting to get online as soon as tickets were available when I spoke to them about tickets to the Anzac Day game.Seemed a good selection available of tickets other then the areas that are all sold out obviously.

After failing on the Ticketek website, then ringing the club, then trying to ring Ticketek (whose number by the way, does not actually work). I logged back onto Ticketek an hour later and had no issue. What a crap company.

At least I have a seat for the game now.

Zorro 11 worked out we will have 60,000 by 16/4, maybe a few days later. We signed up 2,630 in the month of March and only have 2,110 to go. Maybe late April would be a better guess but we should be well over 60,000 by 30/6.

In reality, we have until June 30th and yes, approx 23 per day until then will get us there. I believe this is why Kochie and KT have categorically confirmed we'll make it to 60k.
NO we dont. 30th June went out the window when the AFL set their 1mil club members by 2016 target. The AFL counts totals up to early/mid August because of the 3 game pass clubs now sell.

Well I tried to upgrade from Country 5 games to Silver A this morning .. Ticketek would not let me do it so rang the Club and after 3/4 hour wait got through and a very nice lady upgraded me to a seat ...:) very happy ... my seat awaits .. :)

65k seems almost doable if they have pushed it back a month and a bit.

Much like the guy with a four inch dong that bought the Ron Jeremy signature penis pump I think you might be dreaming.

For this year anyway.

Well I'll be buggered!
September 2011 the AFL released their 5 year strategy documents to cover the 2012-16 TV rights and set their 1 million target. In their 2011 annual report released in March 2012 for the first time they showed access + non access membership totals. Either 2011 or 2012 they first announced totals as at 31 st July and now they release totals around 10th August.

You seem a bit angry today mate.

Do you need a hug?

65k is doable in 2015 only if they market the hell out of 3 gamers and do those 1 game BS memberships in August that a few clubs have done. My guess is 62-63k is where we will end up. 65k will be our minimum target in 2016. Wouldnt be surprised if it was 70k which I have written about before and last November set out in a post how we can get to 75k if we are really clever with the 3 gamers.

After vaguely claiming for at least 3 weeks that they had passed 60,000 members, Fages has come out and stated a concrete figure that has just ticked over 60k. Coupled with the article released on the Crows website with him claiming that the AFC is not about state domination any more, they are clearly spooked.

KT: We are Port Adelaide and we like to party.

Fages: Uh, hi, uh, We're uh Adelaide, and, uh, we like to party.

KT: Uh, no Fages, we just said that we party so maybe you could do something different from us.

Fages: We are Adelaide, and we're 4th quarter specialists.

KT: You know what, let's move on.

Utterly deluded.

Give the w***ers at norwood an AFL license. When they go under, hopefully they drag that pile of s**t competition the sanfl with them down the toilet instead of floating around like the unwanted turds they all are.

If they were about state domination, they were pretty s**t at it. A couple of minor profits, falling crowds until Port got them to Adelaide oval and at last count they are behind on the head to head win/loss ratio with the only other club in the state.

Watch out Australia - Fags and the Adelaide Crows are comin to getchya

In round numbers our 8,000 or so non access members in 2013 and 2014 and I guess the same in 2015 is made up of approximately

Football Club only –3,200
Junior (non-access only) –2,000 ie without game access and we have game access kids counted in the AFL total
Baby – 500
Digital + International 300
Magpies with non AFL Access – 2,300
