hopefully he is tortured emotionally and physically every minute of the day and that he lives til he is 100
Amen.hopefully he is tortured emotionally and physically every minute of the day and that he lives til he is 100
Charming
Do you think he should do just be allowed to do a cruisey prison sentence?
I love how you read/hear about people serving 200, 400 or 1000 years in prison. Why not just call it a life sentence
I think the idea is that there is potential for one of the convictions to be overturned, in that case they would still have to serve the time for the remaining convictions.I love how you read/hear about people serving 200, 400 or 1000 years in prison. Why not just call it a life sentence
Something to do with parole.
Yep, I agree, lets bring ourselves down to his level.hopefully he is tortured emotionally and physically every minute of the day and that he lives til he is 100

yeah, I want the guy to go away for life mate. I'm just saying what good is it to be as sub-human as he was? You're not parents I take it? Never known anyone who has been perpetrated against by these depraved sub humans. Only hear or read about the harsh reality for many on TV, com or papers? Happy for the guilty to be in jail out of sight out of mind & without little retribution, besides being incarcerated? Ok with this to happen while the victim & often victims, their family & friends suffer, not just years for many but lifetimes?

Two wrongs don't make a right, maybe you should tell your kids that.
I never said anything about good people being sub human. I personally have no problems with removing them from society, say to an island far, far away with nothing & leave them there. I'd be ok in the knowledge that they have no fire no shelter no food no water no clothes nothing that humans have.
& regarding my kids, you need not worry. I am way out in front of you regarding their safety.

Even though I tore you to shreds in the other thread you have the decency to back me up on this point. Good lad. There's a difference between punishment and revenge.
If we started state-sponsored revenge attacks, we'd be in complete chaos, back in the dark ages.
Of course individuals want revenge. But the state is bigger than the individual.
I suppose my main point of contention is what satisfaction is there to be gained out of someone else's misery, even if they've done a terrible thing?
Revenge isn't always the answer. Its actually a terrible thing. Fortunately, there a still a few people who are grounded enough to realise that.
