1-3 Chelsea's way in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup final
Pretty fair result on the night. We were outmatched physically across the team and really struggled in the first half. Could easily have been worse than 1-2.

We came back into it in the second half, and really should have converted our pressure into a couple of goals.

Chelsea got one against the run of play to make it a tough ask in the second leg.

But play like we did after half time and we're still in with a chance.

they're absolutely huge blokes, always going to make a bigger difference at youth level unfortunately. maybe big dank brought the weapon to london?

The final will be a non-contest. This always happens where we play awful but the opponent (in this case Villa) plays really well to knock us out. Then at the very next hurdle, they just roll over to whoever they are playing.

Arsenal 4-1.

Arsenal to wear the yellow away strip for the final

I'm just hoping they don't use that stupid pink/orange ball again, could barely see it on the screen even watching in HD.

Second leg of the youth cup final in about half an hour. City 1-3 down. Kelechi Iheanacho starts for us. He blitzed it with the senior squad in pre season but has been injured/waiting for work permit ever since.

Don't expect a lot from him tonight but think he'll be in the senior squad next season.

Congrats to Chelsea. Better team over the two legs. We had some good moments over the tie and hopefully will see a few of these lads start to work their way into the first team.

Our U18's can now add the FA cup to being top of the south group and winning the champions league. Looks like we have a lot of talent coming through.
