I work with some under 8 and under 10 Auskick players, new to AFL.
What should I be teaching them?
What should I be telling them about the spirit and the ideals of the game?
Are you the leaders of the best club in the land?
Are you the champions everyone should be aspiring to?

Well done Mr Clarkson, you have created a team of winners.

How do I tell my kids that AFL is a better sport than rugby or soccer?
In rugby you know where the contact is coming from.
In soccer the emphasis is on skill.

What do I tell my kids Mr Clarkson? Mr Hodge? Mr Lewis?

Dear rest of the afl, the leaders of clubs, commentators (who are mostly ex-thugs - Matthews, Hall) and the MRP. Either we stamp out this kind of rubbish, or we say it's ok and snipe them back at every opportunity.

Dear Mr HongKong Roo,

I'd point out to your Auskickers that both players have been suspended and that if you break the rules, you don't get to play. Unless I've missed something, I understand Jordan Lewis has been suspended and Luke Hodge has gone to the tribunal.

Regards,

Another (obviously sensible) Auskick coach

Which Auskick are you associated with? Just want to make sure you're not around my son.

the more i watch the Hodge hit, the more i realise how much of a gutless, cowardly effort it was.

probably why he will never be mentioned in the same breath as Ablett or selwood

Not sure why a dual Norm Smith medallist and triple premiership player (B2B as captain) would be mentioned in the same breath as those two - their achievements just aren't on his level.

Grow a pair and stand up for yourself.

The world isn't a nice place and bad things (whether intentional or unintentional) happen. Be prepared.

Yeh, go play soccer where players roll around after falling over a blade of grass.

PS : No injury to either NM player. Players will be suspended so they get their just deserts. Perhaps we should hang them instead.

Tell them to keep their nose out of issues that don't concern then just as Swallow should have done.
