Farmer for sentimental reasons, right time growing up to idolise his ridiculous talent on the field.

Picking someone from outside my club? Goodes. Champion off the field and for my money the best utility to ever play, can and has played basically every position and done it well.

Peter Matera dodging weaving dual sided kicking goals.
Could be best on ground with 15 possessions, because of his hurt factor.
Just a joy to watch.

Right now, Eddie Betts.

All time, Leon Davis.

Maurice Rioli is best I've seen.

Also loved the way Dale Kickett went about it. Absolutely fearless.

As a kid, watching Phil & Peter matera, Chris Lewis & wirrpanda was awesome as an Eagles fan. Peter matera was always my favourite, and will still watch the 92 grand final just to hear "matera... Sets sail for home... With a mighty kick!"

Ashley sampi also had some supreme ability, just not the work rate to go with it, which was such a shame.

Of current players, I do like watching Cyril play, as well as buddy. Both can cut you up with just a few touches.

But my favourite of all the current players is Michael Walters. He can do it all. Take a high mark, kick a goal off two steps, works hard both ways.

Such a good story too.
