NFL looking into temporary stadiums for potential L.A. franchise, including StubHub Center and Dodger Stadium

The NFL has begun looking into temporary stadiums to house a potential Los Angeles team as early as the 2016 season, and it is reportedly considering one site that is miniature compared to its football counterparts.

The StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., home of Major League Soccer’s LA Galaxy, is one of the stadiums being considered as a short-term home while plans for an NFL standard-sized stadium is constructed in either Carson or Inglewood, according to an NFL.com report. It has a capacity of 27,000 for soccer matches. All other NFL Stadiums have a capacity of at least 62,000 including standing-room tickets, the exception being University of Minnesota’s TCF Bank Stadium, the temporary home of the Vikings until their new stadium is complete in time for the 2016 season.

The Rose Bowl and the L.A. Coliseum are also under consideration, as well as Dodger Stadium and Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The report says the league wants to have information to show the owners at the additional owners meeting on Aug. 11 in Chicago, added specifically to discuss potential relocation to Los Angeles. The NFL is trying to get plans ready ahead of any L.A. moves to avoid any possible scheduling conflicts with the stadiums, of which the league might need two if two teams end up moving to the City of Angels.

Rams owner Stan Kroenke’s Inglewood project has a target completion of 2018, while the collective Chargers-Raiders Carson home could be ready for 2019.

Doesn't matter who said it because FACTS are FACTS
