Yeah, Nankervis needs to build up his tank that's for sure, and he isn't quick. Don't expect him to get regular games just yet. Still, it was his first game, and he's not a potato. This is good.

Looked the goods, had presence. In the last quarter (I think), there was one piece of play where he didn't mark or gather the ball but just got a hand to it which kept it in front to which we crumbed the ball. Was impressed by that. Kicking looks good and goal kicking action is easily improved. His effort is pretty good too regularly putting in 2nd and 3rd efforts.

He is extremely slow though (looked at least the same if not slower than Pyke) and will need to improve his speed to be a truly dominant tall (though his other strengths can make him a handy player another step or two will allow him to cover more ground). Obviously his tank will build, another preseason will help and he now knows what it takes to play AFL footy.

Was at the game so didn't really notice his rucking but his general field kicking looked good and there seemed to be a presence about him. Was he effective in the ruck?
