Rugged Aussie league star Billy Moore is famous for his words as much as his actions but his latest outburst is inexcusable and will surely stain what was remembered as a stellar career.

Describing the New Zealand Warriors' playing a "coconut style" on live television in Australia has caused an outcry on both sides of the Tasman.

And so it should.

I wonder if he will explain that away as a laid back devil may care style like you were on a tropical holiday. PR machines on both sides spurred into action. He's grossly outnumbered from the moment he said it though. Didn't hear the context or what came before or after so he may not be able to start to explain that away at all.
