Young team, really only the last 3 weeks that have been disappointing in terms of below par performance.

3 -10 losses in tough assignments (Freo away, Hawks, and I'd include Port away)

Then had a few injuries/suspensions, Eagles and Dogs are 50-50 games at best for the Pies, but they should have done better in both games anyway. Today was surprisingly poor, no excuses for them, but I certainly don't think the team that played today is indicative of 4-5 weeks ago when they had good games v Freo and Hawthorn.

According to Collingwood supporters it was the umpires who lost it to them today. The AFL decided a few weeks ago that they were sick of Eddie's crap and its actually a massive company wide conspiracy to deny them wins.

They were in form and playing well against the Dockers and Hawks but they missed their chances late in the game and lost those close matches. You gotta make it count when you're in form because it can all go away just as quickly.

Nice to see that you've regained both your sight and ability to use your hands after being gaped last Friday night.
The difference is that we know we are crap so it doesn't hurt that much (anymore).

According to your previous post you think you are "travelling along beautifully"..wow, you have dropped your standards from just seven weeks ago. Happy with six losses in a row?!

Here's how they've gone when you line them up against the ladder:

Fremantle - loss
West Coast - loss
Hawthorn - loss
Sydney
Richmond - loss
Bulldogs - loss
Adelaide - loss
Geelong - loss

North Melb - win
GWS - win
Pies
Port Adel - loss
St Kilda - win
Melbourne - win & loss
Essendon - win
Carlton - win
Gold Coast - win
Brisbane - win

The answer is simply a lopsided draw.

Over rated.

No one else to trade out for high picks.. they're all gone. Stuck with what they have now. Swannie one more year maybe then looking to retire

They're still tracking OK in the grander scheme of things. Its just that people overrated where they were at right now, this year. They can still say they beat the bottom 10 teams consistently and that they were competitive with the top 8 sides. That's not too bad for a young side. Their draw has probably emphasised this to extremes.

Right now i would probably project them as a middle of the road side for 2-3 years with a final or two played and then it will depend on how their kids turn out as to how they go from there.
