Bortles?? The jury is well and truly out. This is a team that last year thought Toby Gerhart was capable of being a No 1 back!! Clueless.
You gotta give Bortles 1-3 years to develop. He is a real chance at being a franchise QB. Like Carr (who the jury is out on also). But unlike Gabbert, who was a massive reach and bust-to-be at the time of his drafting.

Boykin situation was that he wanted to play outside, but Chip/Davis never gave him the opportunity. They were happy with him playing slot. That and they like big CBs.

This offseason just gets better and better

Seahawks acquired CB Mohammed Seisay from the Lions in exchange for a conditional sixth-round draft pick in 2016.

A former UDFA out of Nebraska, Seisay played 30 defensive snaps for Detroit last season but was more active on special teams. The condition of the draft pick almost certainly depends on whether Seisay makes the Seahawks' 53.

The fifth-round pick the Eagles acquired for CB Brandon Boykin will upgrade to a fourth-rounder if Boykin plays 60 percent of the Steelers' defensive snaps this season.

Boykin only played 43 percent of Philly's snaps in 2014, and 51 percent the year before. He is expected to be a starter in Pittsburgh, however, and should easily clear 60 percent if he simply stays healthy. A fourth-round draft pick for a undersized cornerback entering his contract year is a relatively steep price to pay. Very clearly, the Steelers badly wanted Boykin.

Sam Bradford (knee) has been fully cleared for 11-on-11 drills.

Bradford is finally ready to let it rip after being limited at OTAs and minicamp. A recent independent study conducted by the Eagles showed Bradford has about a 10-to-12 percent chance of re-injuring his ACL, though coach Chip Kelly won't be putting any restrictions on his new franchise QB. Bradford shed his knee brace Sunday, another sign that he's back to 100 percent. Expect Bradford to begin creeping up fantasy draft boards in short order.

For every player that makes it big, there are ten who had the talent but cut down by injury/etc...

-------------

Panthers waived/injured WR Stephen Hill.

Hill injured his right knee at Saturday's practice and has since been diagnosed with a torn ACL. Paul Browning will take Hill's spot on the active roster. The 24-year-old has never logged more than 24 catches in a season and wouldn't have been much of a factor even if he had stayed healthy.

Terrelle Pryor was sprinkled in with the first-team offense at Browns camp on Sunday.

It's a good sign. Whereas many players in Pryor's position-conversion circumstance might linger with the third-team offense, Pryor is already making a push for meaningful practice reps. Pryor has drawn rave reviews at wide receiver early on, with both Dwayne Bowe and Joe Haden noting how "easy" Pryor has made the position switch look. Pryor is worth stashing in deeper Dynasty leagues. The Browns' shortage of wide receiver talent could result in substantial playing time for Pryor out wide in 2015. At 6-foot-5, 232, Pryor would make for an inviting red-zone presence. He's also as tough as nails.

Titans rookie RB David Cobb suffered a broken finger in Saturday's training camp practice.

He returned to practice on Sunday. A fifth-round draft pick, Cobb has been working behind Bishop Sankey and Antonio Andrews at Titans camp. One beat writer noted Saturday that Cobb has seen very few practice reps thus far.

Breshad Perriman's bruised knee may keep him out longer than expected though the Ravens don't consider it a long-term injury.

Perriman suffered the injury on the first day of training camp. The first-round pick struggled with drops at minicamp but should be a productive fantasy contributor when he finally gets healthy. He's filling Torrey Smith's old role as Joe Flacco's primary deep threat alongside veteran Steve Smith Sr.

The Steelers are "concerned" about second-round CB Senquez Golson's shoulder injury and "not sure when he will return."

Their concern led to Saturday's trade for Brandon Boykin, a similarly smallish slot corner type. Some Steelers backers were pushing Golson as a potential solution to the team's cornerback woes, but he is incredibly small (5'9/176) and now injured. Golson opened training camp on the active/NFI list.

Marcus Mariota has reportedly played "mistake-free football" through the first two days of Titans camp.

Dating back to the spring, we've yet to see an explicitly negative practice report on Mariota since the Titans drafted him. This latest report comes via the Titans' website, where new team writer Jim Wyatt states he's been impressed with Mariota's "poise, decision making, and accuracy." The true test for quarterbacks comes in live settings versus pass rush, but by every account Mariota is off to an overwhelmingly positive start.

Boykin on Chips -

“uncomfortable around grown men of our culture."

"He can't relate and that makes him uncomfortable,” Boykin added in the text message. “He likes total control of everything, and he don't like to be uncomfortable. Players excel when you let them naturally be who they are, and in my experience that hasn't been important to him, but you guys have heard this before me.”

Here's a look at the other cornerbacks on the Eagles roster:

HEIGHT WEIGHT
E.J. Biggers 6-0 185
Nolan Carroll 6-1 205
Byron Maxwell 6-1 207
Jaylen Watkins 5-11 194
Randall Evans 6-0 195
Denzel Rice 6-0 196
Eric Rowe 6-1 205
JaCorey Shepherd 5-11 199

Brandon Boykin 5-10 185

Aside from all being larger than Boykin, the other thing all those defensive backs have in common is that they're all black, which makes it difficult to give credence to his claims that race had much of anything to do with it.

And according to Kelly, there's now depth at a position that was one of the Eagles' weakest last season. That, coupled with his size and the fact that they were able to get something in return, made Boykin -- entering the final year of his contract -- expendable.

“It more speaks to what our depth was at the position,” Kelly said. “We’re going to have to make some tough decisions at corner and we’re not going to be able to keep them all.”

The Steelers, however, had been interested in Boykin for some time, according to the coach. So much so, that this isn't the first time Pittsburgh made an offer.

“They actively pursued him. They wanted to trade for him at the draft and we turned it down,” Kelly said.

What sweetened the deal for the Eagles is that the fifth round pick they received from the Steelers becomes a fourth-rounder if Boykin plays 60 percent of his new team's defensive snaps this season.

In pretty sure that every CB in the league is black

Since the 2002 realignment, 10/12 years a team has gone from worst to first in their division

My bet is that if it happens this year, it will be the Buccaneers who go from worst to first. Last season they lost 9 games within a score, and lost the division by 5 games.
Look in your own backyard for the answer.

No way a rookie qb (Winston) has such a year. Unless he loses the job to Glennon.
