Came back from a back injury in round 7 to start his year unfit and finished the season with 127 goals. An average of 7.47 a game that dragged the Saints into the finals IIRC.

Kouta back in 2000 took his game to a stratospheric level for a period of time.... Before injury took it's toll.

Kicked 100 goals in 13 games, used to have the newspaper clipping of it pinned up on my wardrobe as a kid.
Dean Cox laughs at Todd Goldsteins 15 touches a game average for this year. He had 9 seasons where he averaged over that, topping out at 22.1

Obviously biased here, but Crawf was lucky that Buckley got injured and missed 5 or 6 games. Bucks averaged more possessions (and actually kicked 50% more goals despite the fewer games) than Crawf and still finished 3rd in the Brownlow. His numbers that year were staggering for someone who missed a quarter of the season.

Martin McGrath for Richmond in 2003. Averaged 5 goals a game as a small forward in an otherwise disappointing season for the club.

Jesse Hogan top 5 in contestedarks in his debut season is a big one.
In an era when disposal counts weren't as high, this would be hard to beat.

Leigh Matthews, Imma let you finish, but Jesse Hogan's 2015 season where he averaged 13 disposals and 2 goals a game is the best season of all time. Of all time!
Oh I'm sorry. I was under the impression that he retired LAST year. So his stats for 2015 = ZERO.
