I think most have moved onto the fact that Campo is now in charge. But just watching that press conference really hit hard, not necessarily with tears rolling down the face but just the realisation that he's dead. Gone forever. I think more so because the press conference is seeing him in charge. Actively being coach. Obviously since the tragedy it's mostly being pictures, and sometimes you get a bit detached from the reality that he was the coach.
You sort of expect him to come back after a brief hiatus.
Very true. I carry on with my life just the same as I did before, then it pops up ... Phil's really gone. Disbelief again, followed by such sadness that he's never going to have the chance to win a premiership. He was at the beginning of a possibly wonderful journey, and it's gone now.
