I heard the same about Blake Acres coming back to Perth
The same Weller who's from Tasmania and was living on the GC when his family moved up with Mav?*looks at St Kilda list for first rounders drafted from Perth"
B Acres.....Acres....
*types*
Well I heard the same about Acres
If you actually knew the player or his family you would know that he's happy in Victoria. Recently signed a 4 year deal. Has a missus from Melbourne. Lives with Tom Lee also from Perth and another couple saints boys
He's the least of our concerns flight wise. If you had said dunstan then maybe I'd want to know more but believe me Acres is safe as houses
Weller on the other hand is absolutely gone, it's just a matter when and to who in Melbourne. Wants to go home
The same Weller who's from Tasmania and was living on the GC when his family moved up with Mav?
Maybe we'll send him home when Tasmania have a team. Until then if you want him I'd be prepared to pay overs because I have it on good authority that he will be signing a contract extension before the year is out. so toddle on.*looks at St Kilda list for first rounders drafted from Perth"

His friends? he has barely lived in Melbourne. I would say he has more friends in WA than he does in Melbourne. A whole football club full of friends in WAFamily and friends are in Melbourne now mate

I wouldn't hold my breath on him being traded to the Saints either. if he were to be traded back to Vic there is a few clubs to choose from so there would be more than one club chasing him so we would be compensated accordingly. Saying that Í have no doubts he will be with the club for a while yet.I wouldn't hold your breath

He may be Homesick right now, but things can change quickly. Tommy Sheridan looked as good as gone until he started getting a few games in his second year, he is about to sign a contract extension because he loves the club. Things can change quickly. Did you hear anything about Langdon? Or just Weller?Didn't say it would be my club. The tigers are pretty confident. Go pop over to their board and have a read
I don't think he will leave this season, will be next year IMO but who's knows with players that are homesick
Mate we've been linked to just about every KPP that has been uncontracted in the last 3-4 years whether they were from WA or not and that hasn't gotten us anywhere. Until he comes out and says he wants to leave then it is all just here say and bull crap as far as im concerned. Aaron Black was homesick and determined to come back to Freo a couple of years ago same as Mitch Clark, and we all know how both of those ended up.Didn't say it would be my club. The tigers are pretty confident. Go pop over to their board and have a read

Our 1st 3 picks in the draft all have season ending injuries. Our win was getting Higgins.
I think every player that is drafted out of Vic is a flight risk these days. It is an advantage all Victorian clubs have these days. it has always been there but in this day and age is becoming more and more frequent with players wanting to return. You cant really blame them either, who would want to put their body through having to travel every second week compared to having to travel maybe once every 4 weeks? And we both know that both players absolutely regret that decision. Weird example to use. Personally I wonder if freo drafted Weller knowing they could use him as currency to get a tall
Leading up to the draft everyone knew he wanted to go to a Victorian club. Gold Coast ruled him out as a flight risk

That's unfortunate. Higgins is certainly in good form.
I see your point but that's one player. Look at poor old Brisbane! the pull for players from Vic to return is much stronger than it is for anyone wanting to return to WA, SA, QLD or NSW. and the thing is two of those mentioned states get to keep the best of their players anyway because of the academies they have in place.Works both ways. We lost Cripps for nothing remember

Winners:
Adelaide- if they knew lever was going to slip well done, I like the selection of wigg aswell good ball user
Essendon- Laverde at 20 screams steal
Fremantle- picked up kids I rated highly
Geelong- does it again - wouldn't be surprised if all the players they picked make it
Hawthorn - Picking up miles and pittonet consecutively is a steal
Melbourne- Ripping midfield depth now so jealous McDonald didn't slip a couple picks more
North- Vickers willis at 36
Richmond- Biggest winner of the bunch, geelong close second and saint Kilda third west coast fourth. Good disposer of the footy in ellis, genuine steal at 33 with Menadue, athletic freak at 52 with drummond, x factor in butler and could be a westhoff type pick at 77 with McKenzie
St Kilda- good picks in lonie and McKenzie, filled both kp ends with mccartin and goddard - going to be strange hearing that name at the saints again
West coast- elite ball user off half back, questionable pick in lamb might want to go home in a few years, solid vlaustin type in nelson and an outside ball magnet in cavka. Like geelong wouldn't be surprised if all their players make it
I won't make a loser part because that's unfair and its only been 3 hours so ill give it a bit of time. This will be more questionable/on the fence draft choices:
Doggies: No big bodied Mid, a hff Elliot type in mclean, inconsistency but chance to be a star in webb (I believe taken way too early) and skinny types in Hamilton and bailey. Daniel could be anything but the record they had with hooper questionable.
Brisbane: Yeah solid picks McGrath is the main one that has the possibility of being a genuine star but the others just say solid players - didn't help they started so late
Carlton: Someone must of had a massive hardon for boekhorst to take him at 19 ahead of laverde. if he turns out to be a star than ill accept that im wrong but pick 19 for a 21 year old is questionable, also lol it says he is 44 on the draft machine. Good choices in viojo rainbow and smith, they get elite ball use and bit of mongrel respectively just pick 19 throwing me off
Collingwood: Pick 30 and 48 scream solid players but not stars to me. De goey looms as a good pick though
Gold Coast: Another tall; ruck/fwd in wright is that really what they needed? With smith, hall, gorringe, Dixon etc etc might of not been the most sensible pick. Also with garlett; bennell and martin and also with miller prestia? They picked up very similar players to what they have already
GWS: On the fence because of the number of high picks they had only time will tell if this was a success
Swans: in reality only had 1 pick in rose which is ok I guess
Port: A lot of talls the only one I rate out of the bunch was Frampton, 3 developmental talls all on the senior list is questionable aswell as no sa boys
Ripping draft. Duggan obviously, but nelson and lamb looked magic earlier in the year. 3 rippers there IMO.I'm pretty happy with our draft at this point, especially considering the picks we had.
11. Duggan
32. Lamb
51. Nelson
66. Cavka
71. Waterman (F/S)
Four Vic kids is always a bit of a risk but the first 3 have debuted. Lamb looked impressive then got injured, Duggan (also now injured) and Nelson have played 21 games between them in a team pushing top 2. Duggan looks like a ripper and the type of player we're missing. Nelson looks very solid and should slot into one of the backline spots of Ellis/Butler before too long pretty seamlessly. Cavka and Son of Muddy unseen at AFL level at this point.
Where did Brodie Murdoch and Josh Saunders come from?
