Ended up going with a top 10.

1. Gary Ablett Jnr
2. Wayne Carey
3. Gary Ablett Snr
4. Tony Lockett
5. Leigh Matthews
6. Jason Dunstall
7. Michael Voss
8. Greg Williams
9. Matthew Scarlett
10. Jason Akermanis

My spectrum of football history is relatively limited, given I'm only 27 years old, so admittedly I'm more influenced by the last 15-20 years than anything prior to that. My top eight selections are pretty straight-forward - although you could argue the order - however, the last two spots are filled by some more debatable selections.

I wanted to get a defender in there, and Scarlett was the best one-on-one guy I've seen, and not to mention he played in the second best team I've ever seen take a football field. Akermanis caps off my top ten, as his best is the best I've seen, and it felt weird only having one player from Brisbane's three-peat in my top ten.

Unlucky: Silvagni, EJ, McLeod, Judd, Riccuito, Madden, Matera & Riewoldt.

If you saw Lockett then you saw Dunstall.

That you think that your numbers 3 4 and 5 were better than him makes me giggle.

Well everyone has their opinions don't they!
I do highly rate Dunstall but IMO not as good as my top 5.

I'll admit it may be a bit biased with Richo, but I do believe he has been one of the best players I have seen. scary to think what he could have been without injuries.

1. Max Crow (Ess, St.K, Foots).
2. Tony Buhagiar (Ess, Foots).
3. Doug Hawkins (Foots, Fitz).
4. David O'Halloran (Haw).
5. Robert Scott (Gee, NM).
