Butcher definitely laid more than 2.

Question for you REH regarding stats. On afl.com.au they have Ah Chee and Butcher with only 2 tackles each. I must have been watching a different game.

A tackle is counted if it leads to either a stoppage or an inefficient disposal. If someone is tackled and they still dish off a handball to a teammate then its not counted.

We all know we've blown this year. The trick is to learn from it an be better much better next year.

That's right anyone who says this has been a wasted year have no idea. Its been and inefficient and disappointing year and is only a waste if we dont learn and improve. We have found 2 midfielders for the future in Sammy and Ah Chee, we have found out how good Ryder is, we have found out that Butcher can still contribute, we have found out we have weaknesses, we have found out we cant expect the opposition to let us do what we want, we have found out our fitness has gone past the sweet spot of power and strength vs endurance running and on and on it goes. Now we have to fix up the * ups and we get something worthwhile out of this year.

There was a complete change in Butcher's demeanour midway through the last quarter.
Still pretty average, but there was some kind of confidence fire-up. Stronger in the air and better body positioning. Less cement in his hands.
The possibility is still there. Another game please.

Butch's field kicking is very good and he's a Maggies DEFENDER going well
