The offender has apologised, not sure this needed to be made public unless it's perceived to benefit Dempsey by portraying him as a victim.

Stupid line for that person to cross. Did not add anything to the insult and is clearly unacceptable. Unfortunately not a surprising thing to see on those types of sites.
Not sure why players would open up their social media channels to the public. Has Dempsey tweeted anything indispensable?

I don't use Twitter but he has posted a few things on Instagram in the past about being proud of his culture. To my knowledge nothing there has ever attracted anything untoward.

Amazing how so many think the anonymity of the internet gives them carte blanche to speak/act in any manner they please. Online slander doesn't carry any less weight than traditional face-to-face bullying just because it is only visible on a screen. So unfortunate that the web is increasingly becoming a haven for mouth-breathers who lack the spine to degrade others when a face/name can be attached to them.

Seriously though, people have nothing better to do than having a go at others on social media.
Dempsey did the wrong thing and will pay the price. He looked genuinely remorseful for his actions at the end of the game. No need for racial slurs. These things happen in our game. Get a life.
