I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have the quarter by quarter scores for the TAC Cup from 1992-2004?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Are they stored in the footy records?

TAC Cup Statistics are as elusive as dodos, great auks, thylacines, passenger pigeons and West Indian monk seals.

I have been looking for basic stats for this competition - highest scores, lowest scores, greatest margins, draws, highest goals in game and season, longest winning streaks, longest losing streaks, most games and goals by players and the like - but have come nowhere close.

Wouldn't there be smatterings of those in the Footy Records dating back to TAC Cup league's inception?

AustralianFootball has basic and and advanced stats for all TAC games from 2005-current...

2000's I would take with a grain of salt as it seems to be missing a few finals games and the Round 17/18 matches (I assume they were played as all the other seasons had 18 rds)

Unfortunately these don't have qtr-by-qtr results for whatever reason, but a couple of the later years do have bests/goalkickers

Over the summer we have added in the 2000-2002 quarter by quarter scores for the TAC Cup...

Australian Football now has complete quarter by quarter scores for the 2000-2002 and 2005-current. If anyone can help with the 1992-1999 and 2003-2004 quarter by quarter scores please get in touch.

Hi there. Was wondering if you have the link to 2005- 2008 for the TAC results/goalkickers as well? I've been looking in newspapers for teams to work out games played by individuals on a year by year basis which is tough. Some clubs have helped though.

Cheers

You can find the results here for 2005-2008:- http://australianfootball.com/seasons/season/tac/117/premiership+season/5/5/2008

You may need to check the (AFL) Football Records to find the goalkickers. I'm not sure of anywhere that you can find it all "in one hit".

The 2008 TAC Cup Records can be found here:- http://www.foxsportspulse.com/assoc...-0&sID=59337&news_task=ARCHIVED&section=59337

Hey there. Yeh thanks for that. I saw the earlier post which had links from 2000 to 2004 so thats why I was asking about 2005-08. I have goalkickers but was chasing games. If I Have the links like previous I can go through round by round and work it out. Can't believe most of the clubs didn't keep their own records.

Yeah I wouldn't necessarily bank on those sportingpulse results being 100% accurate but they are the best reference out there for now.

Oliver, it appears you guys are still looking at getting 2003-04 qtr by qtr TAC Cup scores up. I know there's plenty on your plates right now but I believe the AFL Record is a good source for this.

http://handle.slv.vic.gov.au/10381/82320 (page 63) has round 1, for example. If I get some time over the next few weeks I may be able to contribute directly.

Thanks Gibbsy, I've added to the list of things to do. Pretty sure I have all the AFL Records archived somewhere so I should be able to find most if not all.

Cheers,

Oliver
