Bang on target - Brisbane are bleeding players, will have a ton of cap room, a desperate need for a KPF and Dixon is a QLD player and once he is signed to a 5 year deal there is not much of a flight risk...they can easily match any offer that Port ask Dicko to take to the PSD so the risk of Port not getting him if they want to play dirty pool is very real.
Brisbane have Leppitsch, not Ken though.

Thought it was strange on 360 tonight when Gerard said that Bennell was out for round 23 with a calf injury, then said something along the lines of 'won't see him in Suns colours again'.

I missed it.. I cant help you with this sorry :(
He said something similar straight after the drug saga too

With Redden gone, there's cash down the road, not just interstate.

Brisbane have enough players on their list that don't want to be there. How's that working out for them? Don't be so naive and think they'd be dumb enough to recruit someone who also doesn't want to be there. They'd be better off using that money to lure someone who wants to play for them.

They need to land a big fish. Don't be so naive to think 50K more by the Lions won't get it done and he remains in his home state.

Charlie is all about the dollars, who is the one kidding themselves

Landing a big fish that would merely seek a trade next trade period? How good would that look for Brisbane? "They can't even keep their big name recruits!" It would hurt them way more than it would help them. It would hurt any club way more than it would help them.

5 year deal...

5 year deal...

Do you honestly believe that means anything anymore? If a player wants to leave. They will leave. No club will waste 700k a year on a player in the reserves. It would hurt them too much. How do you not understand that? Resources could be reallocated on someone that will want to play for them.
