FOX Sports, National Basketball League announce broadcast partnership, every game live in HD

THE National Basketball League and FOX Sports have announced a five-year partnership to broadcast all games of the NBL live in high definition; to be reviewed after the 2015/16 season.

The partnership was announced by NBL executive director Larry Kestelman and FOX Sports CEO Patrick Delany, in what was described as a significant step in continuing the return of basketball as a major force in Australian sport.

“We are dedicated to making the NBL a best in breed, professional and commercial product that delivers the best entertainment on offer to the public over the summer, and today’s announcement is a huge step in that direction.” Kestelman said.

Don't spent too much time here, sorry if it's been said a thousand times....is there an NBL board with individual team threads, or is this the thread?

This is the thread.

Its says games will be shown on fox sports news. Why this channel and not fox sports? Any news who commentators are?

Because they can guarantee it won't clash with any other sports, and offer it as a sports "taster" to those without the Sports package (as FSN is part of the base Entertainment package).

Great to hear Huddo calling

I dread the games Der-wayne will call.

Commentators are Anthony Hudson, Dwayne Russell, Andrew Voss, Warren Smith and Matt Russell

Analysts are Shane Heal, Tommy Greer, CJ Bruton, Derek Rucker, James Harvey and current Boomers coach, Andrej Lemanis

Sadly, no John Casey it seems :(

Given the mix of AFL, NRL, and rugby union callers I wonder if Huddo and Der-wayne will largely do the Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth games, and Andrew Ross, Warren Smith and Matt Russell will largely do the Illawarra, Sydney, Cairns and Townsville matches.

Won't happen but love to hear Steven Quartermain call again. The late Clinton Grybas was great and really passionate about the game
