But if Simpson isn't playing, he's lesslikely to get injured so when he comes in for Mummy, he plays until he gets injured at which time we hopefully have Mummy back.

Yes, there is risk there. However, it seems Sauce is on the move given this signing. He should be relatively cheap, and if he lets us down a little, then still happy that Downie and Lobb get AFL game time as lead ruck.

if we get Simpson from the Cats, would he be a straight starter for Mummy if Mummy wasn't fit to play?

Not to be negative but Im not convinced Mummy will get through the whole season unscathed, I wouldn't mind if the coaching staff give him a week off here & there during the season.

I don't know to be honest. Downie has improved a lot and I don't know how fit Simpson is. We'll know more after preseason and intraclub.
