Any Stock Tips? - Part 3

Anyone considering the PAI IPO?
Appears to have a history of outperforming the MSCI Asia Index, ETF-style overseas exposure

I haven't looked into it too much. I assume its a high yielding stock? I've been looking to buy into WAX and WAM instead of having my cash in the bank earning very little.

Picked up a few MMJ for 30c. I think this stock will do well if everything falls into place. Only had a small nibble, will go again if they go below .30, or just watch them go up.

I don't imagine MMJ's price will see too much growth for some time; its product won't have any exposure to Australian & New Zealand markets until 2017?? (where only a limited amount of Cannabis will be available to those prescribed).

Maybe I'm being quite presumptuous however.

Possibly Phytotech's interests in Europe/US & most notably Canada (where they recently acquired full occupancy of a SOTA cultivation facility) will assist in a surge to a figure much higher than 30 cents.

I'll personally add it to my watch list. Not too intrigued atm though - hopefully it works for you dus!

Thanks T9,

It's an interesting company. The Duncan facility in Canada will be able to grow 1000kgs, and is awaiting regulatory approval. This will be their revenue source by value adding the cannabinol and thc into pills. They already produce and sell pills in Europe, so have a small revenue source there.

Western governments are shifting their positions on medical cannabis, and MMJ will have first mover advantage here, and probably Canada. When they move from a good story, to a good business, gains will be made. Strap in.

Anyone heard of River Rock Energy? Going to float at RRR. Prospective potash deposit.

wouldn't go near it

drilling on a lake is not easy

environmental issues of getting onto lakes is prohibitive

distance to port is an issue

wait 10 years and then get in when the heavy lifting has been done

Mayne Phama (MYX) announced a new CFO two weeks ago and also appointed a guy who specialises in mergers and acquisitions to the board as well. One to keep an eye on over the next 12 months.

Called it. They've gone from 1.025 as at August 25th to their current price of 1.235.

I bought them at 1.06 not long ago thinking they looked like they had room for a fair bit of growth. Up 15% since then, but no announcements that seemed to trigger the price increase. How far up do you see it going?

Good pick :thumbsu:

Honestly at this point it would be purely speculative but I can see them hitting 1.35 in Q1 next year, possibly 1.45 with a good announcement or two.

What do they do?

Their tag line is "Develops, manufactures and markets branded and generic pharmaceutical products globally" but the bulk of their business is sourcing drugs and making them available for sale on the Australian market.
